Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League is excited to announce, through a working relationship with 24-7 UK Soccer Academy, the appointment of a new Director of Coaching.
Mark Nutter is a Co Owner of 24-7 UK Soccer Academy and has lived in the USA for over 13 years. His experience while living in the USA includes being the DOC and coaching U6 to U19 age groups with Castro Valley Soccer Club for 3 years, and more recently with Montclair Soccer club as the U8 Technical Director.
Mark began his coaching career over 25 years ago with a Mini Soccer Centre in his home town of Chatteris, Cambs, England. Prior to moving to the USA, he had 5 years with Cambridge United Football Club as the Community Officer and U12 Centre of Excellence coach. These roles involved promoting the club in the local community, working with the clubs U12 team, and training and playing games and tournaments in the UK and across Europe.
Mark holds a NSCAA Premier License and is currently working on his USSF “B” license. He also holds other sport qualifications from the UK and is a licensed grade 8 referee.
24-7 UK Soccer Academy was formed in 2005. They have built strong working relations with Castro Valley, now in their 12th year working together, Montclair Soccer Club, approaching their 9th season, and more recently Piedmont Soccer Club. Each club has been built with long term goals in mind. Key goals include implementing a structure for both players and coaches, working as a team on and off the field, and coach and player education and development key to the success of the programs. These goals are especially important in the younger age groups where player development over winning is vital to a player’s and the clubs long term development.
Along with a great working relationship with the club's Board of Directors and local community, these clubs continue to grow and develop and we look forward to building OVYSL with the same proven drive and vision.
