As the season takes shape and the tournaments and matches begin, I would like to take a moment to address a few things. First, please be kind to the referees! Some are younger and are just starting out. Moreover, there is a shortage of referees. We need as many as we can get. Try and be a positive influence on them. I know at times it can get frustrating, but at the end of the day that could be your child, and we are all there to enjoy a good match.
Secondly, social media is now the driving force behind most, if not all communication and OV Toros FC is no exception. The club provides a way to communicate with its coaches, teams, team managers and parents through its Byga software tool. Much like the referees, let's all try and be positive in our comments and communications and use Byga to help and support each other as we navigate through the season.
Lastly, during training days and matches, please be respectful when using any of the fields and facilities at the Morgan Hill Complex, Kirigin Winery and any of the schools. Picking up after ourselves and keeping them clean goes a long way in maintaining the great relationship with have with these locations.
I believe we are all here for the same reason and that is to provide a place for our kids to learn and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer / futbol. I hope you all have a great Fall Season, and I look forward to seeing you on the pitch!
GO TOROS!
